Alliance City Schools this week plans a registration assistance day for families with incoming preschoolers and kindergartners.

Stop by the administrative offices at 500 Glamorgan St. from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday to get help registering your student. Enter through door #17 and head to Room 103. School district officials say children are not fully registered until all forms are filled out and documents have been turned in.

To register for preschool, children must be age 3 by Aug. 1. Those signing up children must bring child’s birth certificate from the Health Department; immunization records; parent or guardian photo identification; proof of address; custody documents, if applicable; and parent or guardian proof of income.

Children entering preschool should be potty trained.

Families also must turn in the child medical statement completed by a doctor, and the eligibility screening tool. Both forms are available to print off during the registration process, and hard copies are available for pickup at Alliance Preschool during the school day.

Spots are limited for preschool registration. Students previously registered in preschool do not need to re-register.

Alliance Early Learning School, at 285 W. Oxford St., houses kindergarten and first-grade students.

To register for kindergarten, children must be age 5 by Aug. 1. Registration requires birth certificate from the Health Department; immunization records; parent or guardian photo identification; proof of address; and custody documents, if applicable.
