Parents accuse daycare worker of child sexual assaults in Wake County. SBI investigating.

State police are now investigating multiple parents’ allegations that a daycare worker in Wendell assaulted their children.

Three separate complaints about the unidentified employee at ABC Land I Daycare were received: two on Jan. 4 and a third on Jan. 10, the Wendell Police Department stated in a news release Wednesday.

The daycare at 601 Raymond Drive, which has been in operation since 1979, has two locations in Wendell.

The location on Raymond Drive cares for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. Its website says the facility is a “five-star facility.”

According to a police report filed by the mother of one of the toddlers, the employee is described as a man who touched her child during naptime, WRAL reported.

The mother reported the assault happened before Christmas, according to the news report.

The Wendell Police Department has turned the investigation over to the State Bureau of Investigation, it stated in the news release.

As of Thursday morning, no charges had been filed, ABC11 reported.
