Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz are still blissfully happy after over a decade together.
The musically inclined couple celebrated their 12th anniversary Sunday night at Little Havana hot spot Café La Trova. Insiders tell Miami.com the hitmaking parents of two sat right in front of the stage and toasted their big day with the bar’s legendary mojitos.
That was IRL in the 305. Over on social media, the “Girl on Fire” singer dedicated a post to her man with a black and white picture of their wedding day in Corsica, July 31, 2010. She gave birth to their first son, Egypt, in October; Genesis, 7, came four years later.
“Look at these cutie pies!!” wrote the native New Yorker. “Those same stars are still in our eyes and it’s only getting better! When we said our vows we wanted our love to never be about controlling each other, or being the boss of each other. We set each other free.”
Beatz, 43, also gushed about his lady love, sharing sweet outtakes from their wedding album.
“Today, 12 years ago I married my best friend. Every sec has been filled with love and adventures. The best part is we didn’t even start yet. Love you 4 life, Queen.”
The Bronx born producer also has another son, Kaseem Jr., 15, from his first marriage to R&B musician Mashonda Tifrere. Beatz and Keys were first linked in 2008, while he was still married to her. Tifrere has said it took some time to warm up to the situation, but eventually, they all became a well oiled family unit. The single mom even ended up writing a book on the matter, “Blend: The Secret to Co-Parenting and Creating a Balanced Family.”
There’s actually a lot of co-parenting going on in the Beatz-Keys household: The rapper (real name Kaseem Dean) also has two other kids with two exes: He shares son Nasir, a 21 year old musician whose stage name is Note Marcato, with South African actress Nichole Levy, and a daughter, Nicole, 14, with London singer Jahna Sebastian.
