Ali Wong Looks Like Walking Art in Over-The-Top Elemental Gown

Ali Wong stepped out on the 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards red carpet in a masterpiece of an ensemble.

The 41-year-old actress and comedian was photographed wearing a one-of-a-kind black and white gown that featured a laser-cut pattern throughout the body of the dress and continued up to her neck with matching white embellishments. Ornate pieces of white fabric stuck out from her sleeves and draped outward, with the ends reaching her ankles.

Per our research, Wong's gown is part of couture designer Iris van Herpen's fall 2023 collection, which is said to be inspired by innovations in aquatic architecture. As for how she decided on the otherworldly look, Wong's stylist Tara Swennen told Vogue: "I have a pretty good game face. I try and let my clients have an emotion before I show mine," except when it came to this gown. “All three of my assistants and [I] just gasped the moment she put it on.”

As for her accessories, the Always Be My Maybe star paired the look with a pair of dainty pearl earrings, some silver rings and a pair of oversized glasses. She kept her glam relatively simple, adding a pop of color to her glowing skin with a berry lip color and matching blush.

Wong is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series for her role in Netflix's TV mini series Beef and is up against Uzo Aduba (Painkiller), Kathryn Hahn (Tiny Beautiful Things), Brie Larson (Lessons in Chemistry) and Bel Powley (A Small Light).
