Ali Wong and Bill Hader Have a Date Night at the Emmy Awards
Comedian couple Ali Wong and Bill Hader are at the delayed 2023 Primetime Emmy Awards together. Wong looked colorful in an embroidered floral gown by Louis Vuitton, accessorizing with Brandon Blackwood shoes, dangling earrings, and her signature glasses.
Hader looked sharp in a gray suit and black turtleneck. Although the couple didn’t pose on the red carpet together, they were spotted side-by-side in the front row of the ceremony.
For tonight’s ceremony, Wong is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her performance in Beef. Hader is also nominated as an actor, producer, writer, and director, for his HBO series Barry.
At the 81st Annual Golden Globes on Sunday, Jan. 7, Wong took home the award for Best Actress - Miniseries or Television Film. Before heading on stage to accept her award at the Globes, Wong tearfully gave Hader a peck on the lips, and many fans were surprised to find out about their relationship.
In her acceptance speech, Wong thanked her ex-husband Justin Hakuta, with whom she shares two kids, saying, “I really need to thank the father of my children and my best friend Justin for all of your love and support. It’s because of you that I’m able to be a working mother.”
Wong and Hakuta announced their separation in April 2022 after eight years of marriage. Last month, Wong officially filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences,” according to People.
After her win, Wong spoke with ET about the special shoutout that she gave her ex. “Yeah, that’s right. I like to keep it peaceful and grateful and amicable,” she said.
Wong and Hader’s relationship timeline dates back to December 2022, when Page Six reported that they dated for at least two months before calling it quits. The following year, in April 2023, they confirmed that they were giving their relationship another try.
