Alex Morgan’s Honest Admission On Posing For Sports Illustrated

Legendary United States women’s national team soccer star Alex Morgan is among the many notable athletes to have posed for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.

In fact, Morgan, one of the best American soccer players of all-time, has posed for the issue three separate times.

Morgan opened up about her decision to pose for the iconic swimsuit issue.

“I think that I’ve definitely grown into this side of myself and being able to really show off my personality and my style off the field. I have dedicated a lot of my life to soccer, but I am in no way defined by what I do. And so, in that, I am more than just a soccer player and I’m so happy taking advantage of opportunities off the field,” Morgan told Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.

Morgan had an incredible experience in 2019, sharing the issue with some of her teammates.

“When MJ (Day) presented me with the idea and the platform to be able to co-produce this portion of the shoot, I was just so honored and excited and I felt like it was important to really show the diversity of this team, as well as show the youth and the experienced players,” Morgan added.

Morgan is one of several notable athletes to pose for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. Danica Patrick, Lindsey Vonn, Serena Williams, Skylar Diggins and many others have all been featured in the iconic magazine issue.

The 2022 edition of the issue will be out later this spring.
