‘Alert: Missing Persons Unit’ Renewed for Season 3 at Fox

“Alert: Missing Persons Unit” has been renewed for a third season at Fox.

The series is a producedural drama set in the Philadelphia Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit, with each episode featuring a search for a missing person headed by detectives Jason Grant (Scott Caan) and Nikki Batista (Dania Ramirez), a former couple whose marriage ended after the disappearance of their son.

Along with Caan and Ramirez, the cast includes Ryan Broussard as Mike Sherman, Adeola Role as Kemi Adebayo, Petey Gibson as C, Gil Bellows as Hollis Braun and Alisha-Marie Ahamed as Wayne Pascal.

Season 2 of “Alert: Missing Persons Unit” is averaging 3.9 multiplatform viewers according to most current data combined from Nielsen’s measurement of linear viewers and Fox’s own streaming numbers. That marks a 233% increase from the show’s Live + Same Day performance recorded by Nielsen, indicating that most of the show’s viewership happens on a delay. This is consistent with the show’s Season 1 performance; in January 2023 the series premiere became Fox’s most-streamed drama premiere since “9-1-1: Lone Star” in 2020, as Variety reported exclusively at the time.

Season 2, which is set to air its finale on May 14, is still in production. Production on Season 3 will begin immediately afterwards.
