Aldi's Wildly Popular $25 Bread Ovens That Sold Out in Record Time Are Going As High as $100 on eBay
If we’ve learned anything in life, it’s that you just can’t beat a good deal. And if you don’t act fast, it’ll probably be gone just as quickly as it came. Whether you wear your bargain shopper badge proudly or you just happen to find an incredible discount on an Apple Watch, we can all agree that the cheaper we can get it, the better.
As far as deals and steals go, our go-to destination to hunt for items at better-than-average prices is none other than the fan-favorite supermarket chain, Aldi. Outside of wowing us with a steady stream of Aldi Finds, the retailer has recently generated quite the buzz around its shockingly affordable Crofton cookware line. Perhaps the most sought-after piece — aside from the super cute $10 baking dish — is the store's $25 version of the popular Le Creuset bread oven.

Sadly, as all good things come to an end, the enamel-coated cast iron dish disappeared from shelves as quickly as it hit them, leaving shoppers desperate to get their hands on one. Thankfully, the sleuths of Reddit did a little digging to figure out where you can get your hands on one. The results, however, didn't quite sit well with shoppers.

"I completely forgot the bread oven was this week and missed it. Went online to see how much they were and 🙃," the post was captioned with screenshots of the oven going for nearly $100 on eBay.

In response to the staggering prices, one disgruntled fan wrote, “I love how they have the gall to add "SOLD OUT!" to their titles. Yeah, because you slimeballs bought them all to resell!” They weren't the only person disappointed in the resell value though. Another Aldi fan chimed in with, “Someone is reselling these on Etsy under the "handmade" category for $99 plus $32 in shipping, so $131 total. I reported the shop, for what it's worth.”
Fortunately, your local Aldi may still have a few in stock, but odds are they won’t be there much longer. If you can’t find one, don't worry. The grocer also recently re-released the wildly popular $30 Dutch oven that you may be able to find, or you can shop their limited-edition fall-inspired kitchen accessories perfect to ring in the season with.
