ALCS, NLCS: Rangers top Astros in Game 7; Diamondbacks force Game 7 vs. Phillies; highlights, news, live tracker

In Game 7 of the ALCS between the Texas Rangers and Houston Astros, it was fireworks from the get-go. The score was 3-1 after just one inning, and it ended 11-4 in Houston, with the Rangers advancing to the World Series.

It was an offensive barrage from the Rangers, which began with Corey Seager hitting a solo home run in the first inning.

The Rangers plated three runs before the second out of the game. One more single, and Astros starter Cristian Javier's day on the mound was done before the end of the first inning.

In the third, Adolis García kept his postseason power streak going with a solo home run that made it 4-1 Rangers. And in the fourth, the Rangers blew the game open. They loaded the bases for Evan Carter, who scored two with a double down the right-field line to extend the Texas lead to 6-2.

García followed with two more RBI on a bases-clearing single. In the sixth, a Nathaniel Lowe homer made it 10-2 Rangers. Another home run from García made it 11-3 in the eighth. The Astros added one more, but that's all they would get.

In NLCS Game 6, the Diamondbacks needed to find a way to win at every opponent's nightmare stadium, Citizens Bank Park, where the Phillies were undefeated this postseason. Well, they jumped on Philly starter Aaron Nola early, with a pair of solo home runs, a walk and a double plating three runs before there was an out in the second inning.

In the fifth, a single from Corbin Carroll and a triple from Ketel Marte added a run for the Diamondbacks and ended Aaron Nola's day at 4 1/3 innings, with six hits and four earned runs.

The D-backs scored another on singles from Perdomo and Marte in the seventh, making it 5-1.

The score held from there, and the Diamondbacks forced Game 7 on Tuesday in Philly.
