Alamogordo election results for city council, school board seats

The Alamogordo City Commission District's 3 and 5 has several candidates vying for the seats.

District 3 had three candidates: incumbent Karl Melton, ex-airport manager Jim Talbert and Reverend Warren Robinson.

Alamogordo Commission District Five had two candidates, including incumbent Sharon McDonald. Alfonso Hernandez is challenging McDonald.

The race for districts 1 and 6 were uncontested.

Nick Paul, the incumbent, is seeking reelection to District 1.

In District 6 Mark Tapley, also seeking reelection, was unopposed.

Alamogordo School Board election results

The Alamogordo School Board had seats one, three and four with a number of candidates eager to fill the roles.

Current board president Judy Rabon is opposed by Craig Danekas for seat one.

Seat three for the Alamogordo School Board was eyed by Marieann Jackson, Amanada Jewell and Shannan Wright.

The last open seat for the school board had Brandy Murphy, Josiah Vesey and Carol Teweleit competing for seat four on the school board.
