Holiday festivities are returning to the Akron Zoo.

The zoo's Wild Lights event opens to public on Nov. 24 and runs select days through Dec. 29.

As part of the festivities, the entire zoo is decked out for the holidays with more than a million lights along with special displays and music and even a synchronized light display.

Santa along with Grinch will make appearances and local high school choirs will perform.

When is Wild Lights at the Akron Zoo?

The zoo is open daily, but Wild Lights at the Akron Zoo are held on select nights and require a separate admission.

The special holiday nighttime event runs from 5 to 9 p.m. Nov. 24 to 26, Dec. 1 to 3, 8 to 10, 15 to 23 and 26 to 29.

How much does Wild Lights at the Akron Zoo cost?

Wild Lights requires a separate admission.

Tickets purchased online at akronzoo.org are $15 for adults and $11 for children and $3 for parking or the shuttle fee.

Tickets purchased in person are $18 for adults, $14 for children and $5 for parking or the shuttle fee.

Children under the age of 2 are free.

When is the Zoothing Wild Lights?

The Akron Zoo is adding a new Zoothing Wild Lights night this year.

The one-night event for those who prefer less crowds, a quieter evening sans the flashing lights can tour from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Dec. 7.

Tickets for the event will be limited.

The cost is $15 for adults, $11 for children with a $3 charge for parking or the shuttle with tickets available online.
