Airbnb in New York takes ‘glamping’ to an entirely new level. Prepare to be impressed
A short-term vacation property in Woodridge, New York, has managed to take the “roughing it” part out of camping thanks to a stunning dome that looks like something straight out of a Disney movie.
It’s called The Outlier Inn, and it’s a 12-acre farm complete with a huge, partly see-through dome, farm animals and so much more. And folks can book it on Airbnb at $379 a night.
“The dome is an incredible ‘Glamping’ space and includes one full bed with bedding. Additional guests must bring air mattresses, cots, camping air pads, sleeping bags, pillows and towels,” the listing on Airbnb says. “There is a wooden floor in the dome and screen windows for airflow and to keep out bugs.”
Of course, there are outdoor showers, a bathtub and an outdoor kitchen so guests can get in touch with nature.
And yes, guests have access to the animals on the farm.
“Merino sheep, angora goats, alpacas, oberhasli dairy goats, chickens, two cats and a dog named Beulah” all run free on the grounds, so guests who bring their own four-legged companions will have to keep them on a leash.
There is also a greenhouse and vegetable garden, the listing says.
The beautiful property has a 4.88 rating on Airbnb with 130 reviews as of Nov. 18.
“What an awesome experience!” one guest said. “The grounds were even more unique and charming than the photos. Great for individuals or group stays to decompress in the wilderness while having all necessary amenities.”
“Our group of 13 had an amazing time,” another commented. “The grounds are beautiful, and well-maintained. Bathrooms are clean, shower has hot water and perfect pressure, full kitchen, frogs, cute animals, plenty of privacy and a lot to do nearby. Can’t want to stay there again!”
Woodridge is about 95 miles northwest of New York City.
