AGT: Fantasy League Reveals Surprise Winner in Painfully Dramatic Finale

Monday’s two-hour finale of America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League revealed the show’s first-ever winner, and it’s not the act anyone was expecting.

Heading into the dramatic season ender, multiple TVLine polls had musician Kodi Lee as Fantasy League’s frontrunner, so imagine our surprise when the inspirational winner of Season 14 was among the first group of contestants eliminated. Other acts who fell short of making the top five included danger duo Billy & Emily England, shadow puppeteer Shadow Ace, contortionist Sofie Dossi and aerialist Aidan Bryant.

Visibly uncomfortable, the judges watched in horror as some of the show’s most beloved acts were unceremoniously dropped in the first round. Simon Cowell was heard calling it a “terrible” experience.

Then came the (cruelly drawn out) reveal of this season’s top five, which also featured a few surprising results: dancer Musa Motha finished in fifth place, followed by vocal group Sainted in fourth, dance crew V. Unbeatable in third and The Pack Drumline in second.

That left the Ramadhani Brothers standing solo as the winning act of AGT: Fantasy League, making mentor Howie Mandel the first judge to win the AGT spinoff. (Our condolences to Heidi Klum, who originally claimed the brothers before having them stolen by Howie during the qualifiers.)

Overcome with emotion, the brothers had little to say following their big win, but Howie was ready with a victory speech: “I am so proud of you, I am so proud,” he told them. “What you do is so dangerous, so inspiring, and you deserve this. You are superstars! World stars!” Howie was then rewarded for his mentorship with a ceremonial ring.

Were you surprised to see the Ramadhani Brothers take home AGT: Fantasy League’s $250,000 grand prize? Which act did you think deserved to win? Drop a comment with your thoughts on Monday’s results below.
