Adam Sandler's new movie debuts with 100% Rotten Tomatoes rating
Adam Sandler is at it again with his new Netflix movie, You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, which debuted with a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Part of the actor and producer's deal with the streaming giant, the coming-of-age comedy stars Sandler's real-life daughter Sunny as protagonist Stacy Friedman, who dreams of having an epic bat mitzvah with her best friend Lydia Rodriguez Katz (Samantha Lorraine).
Things get sour when Stacy sees Lydia kissing her school crush, with middle-school drama ensuing and threatening their friendship and their rite of passage.

An adaptation of YA novel You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah by Fiona Rosenbloom, the film is directed by Sammi Cohen from a screenplay by Alison Peck.
Sandler serves as producer and also plays Stacy's father Danny, while Frozen star Idina Menzel portrays Stacy's mother Bree. Sandler's real-life eldest daughter Sadie and wife Jackie play Ronnie Friedman and Gabi Rodriguez Katz, respectively.
Critics are hailing the film as a fresh tale of friendship that has the potential to become iconic for younger audiences. Though the score on the review aggregator website may change once more reviews come in, it is currently sitting at 100% with five reviews.
