The Ada County coroner on Tuesday identified a Boise man who died last weekend after a single-vehicle accident in Meridian.

A news release from the coroner’s office said that the victim was 37-year-old Joseph Kiler and that he was pronounced dead in the ICU at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise just before 8 a.m. Saturday.

Ada County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Patrick Orr told the Idaho Statesman by email that at 1:30 p.m. last Wednesday, Kiler likely lost control of his pickup while going west on Hubbard Road and was ejected from the truck.

The cause of death was blunt force injuries, the coroner’s report said.

Orr said Tuesday that the crash is still under investigation and that “deputies are still working to figure out what happened.”
