Actor Mark Hamill mocks President Trump’s mini-desk

“Star Wars” hero Mark Hamill helped spread the label “Diaper Don” across the Twitter universe after his real-life nemesis Donald Trump held court from behind a tiny desk.

“Maybe if you behave yourself, stop lying to undermine a fair election & start thinking of what’s good for the country instead of whining about how unfairly you are treated, you’ll be invited to sit at the big boy’s table,” Hamill tweeted Friday morning.

The 69-year-old actor added the hashtag “DiaperDon,” which was trending on Twitter. Hamill frequently mocks Trump and the first family on social media.

The president — still insisting he won the Nov. 3 election despite a vote count and dozens of courts that have said otherwise — addressed the public from behind the very small desk Thursday night. While Trump has actively alleged on Twitter that the election was somehow rigged, Thursday’s press conference was the lame-duck leader’s first since his electoral defeat.

Hamill wasn’t alone in noting the optics were a bit odd for Trump’s return to public view, with many social media users noting the small furniture was a metaphor for his diminishing power.

Parker Molloy of the media watchdog group Media Matters tweeted “May this be how we remember the Trump presidency: a baby at his tiny little desk throwing a tantrum.”

During his Thursday night appearance, Trump continued his insistence that fraud cost him the election, but offered no substance to support his seemingly baseless allegations. He also assured reporters that he would leave the White House if the Electoral College confirms Joe Biden is the new president.

“The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” writer Daniel Kibblesmith wondered if a photo of the full-sized president squeezed behind a miniature desk was from a school play.

Some Twitter users wondered if someone had pulled a prank on President Trump by putting him behind the silly looking piece of furniture. Others were grateful for the funny Thanksgiving weekend image.

Small desks like the one Trump used Thursday are sometimes used for photo-ops that require several people to be squeezed into a shot.
