Actor John Leguizamo compares Latino support for Trump to ‘roaches for Raid’

Actor John Leguizamo ripped Latinos who support President Trump on Friday, saying that “Latin people for Republicans are like roaches for Raid.”

“I just feel like there’s a level of self-hate, or just lack of care for the rest of your Latin brothers and sisters who are in cages, who are being demonized by this president,” Leguizamo, 56, said in an appearance on “Real Time with Bill Maher.”

Ricky Martin calls Latino support for Trump ‘really scary’

Leguizamo, who showed up on the show via video wearing a tie and a Mets hat, said Latino support for Trump is “self-hating and selfish.”

“Twenty-three people were shot in El Paso for just being Latin,” he said, referencing the mass shooting in Texas last year. “And you don’t care so you’re going to vote for this braggadocio president?”

Overall, Biden has a wide lead on Trump with Latinos, according to polling. Almost two-thirds of Latino voters said they would vote for Biden or were leaning that way, according to Pew data published this week.
