Accidents kill pedestrians in Gloucester Township and Cherry Hill

GLOUCESTER TWP. - A pedestrian was fatally struck at an intersection here shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday, police say.

The accident came two days after a pedestrian death in Cherry Hill.

The names of the victims were not released by police.

In the Gloucester Township accident, a woman was struck at Old Black Horse Pike and Landing Road, according to township police.

The victim, who suffered severe head injuries, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver remained at the scene, and the Old Black Horse Pike was closed for several hours, police said.

The Cherry Hill accident occurred around 9 p.m. Thursday on Kings Highway between Chapel Avenue and Chelten Parkway.
