As if the Aaron Rodgers rumor mill wasn’t already churning, it just got some more juice.

On Thursday morning, reports from NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero indicated that the Denver Broncos are finalizing a deal with Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett as their next head coach.

The Green Bay assistant was supposed to interview with the Jacksonville Jaguars later today, but contract talks reportedly “heated up” on Wednesday night.

Rodgers and Hackett have worked together in Green Bay over the past three seasons and are believed to have a positive relationship.

With this news, the calls of “Rodgers to Denver” are beginning to flood in.

“Better believe Nathaniel Hackett knows who he’d like to be his QB, and it ain’t Teddy Bridgewater or Drew Lock,” Packers insider Ryan Wood wrote.

“Congratulations to Nathanial Hackett as the Broncos head man, and now let the Rodgers to Denver talks become a part of our everyday life,” NFL insider Michael Lombardi added.

“There it is #BroncosCountry Next question! Is Rogers coming to town?” one fan asked.

Rodgers’ future with the Packers is unclear as he enters his 18th NFL season. Earlier this week, the reigning league MVP indicated that he would make a decision on his Green Bay future before this year’s free agency period out of respect for the organization and his teammates.

In addition to the Rodgers/Broncos rumors, there’s been some buzz about the superstar QB teaming up with his longtime teammate/friend Davante Adams in Denver.

Buckle up for an offseason full of Aaron Rodgers rumors.
