Aaron Rodgers Had A Telling Admission On Nathaniel Hackett

An old comment from reigning league MVP Aaron Rodgers is fueling the “Rodgers to Denver” fire.

Last season, the Green Bay Packers quarterback shared his appreciation for offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett with a comment that now holds far heavier implications.

“I hope he doesn’t go anywhere. Unless I do,” Rodgers said with a smirk, per Packers insider Matt Schneidman.

Earlier this morning, multiple reports indicated that Hackett is finalizing a deal to become the next head coach of the Broncos. And with the Aaron Rodgers rumor mill already churning, many fans and analyst feel Denver is an extremely likely landing spot for the 18th-year NFL veteran.

Rodgers and Hackett worked closely in Green Bay over the last three seasons and are believed to have a positive relationship.

“He’s a great coach. I love spending time with him. He’s a fantastic teacher. He’s incredible in front of the room,” Rodgers said of Hackett during a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.

Earlier this week, Rodgers revealed that he would make a decision on his Green Bay future before this year’s free agency period.

As of right now, it’s unclear which direction he’s leaning — but this Broncos head coaching news has certainly made things more interesting.
