Captain Owen Strand is back in action! 9-1-1: Lone Star actor Rob Lowe shared a behind-the-scenes selfie from the hit Fox drama, and it had some fans feeling hot under the collar. The 58-year-old star looks perfectly disheveled in the photo, which shows him in uniform as the Austin, Texas, firefighter with a glimpse of the action in the background.

He captioned the selfie with: "This.. fair.. is.. ON FIRE! 🔥 Shooting season 4 of @911lonestar. Coming back in January." As expected, Rob's post was met with its fair share of fire emojis and excited comments about the upcoming season, like "❤️stunning," "Can’t wait!🔥🔥🔥," and "Hello Captain Strand, ohhhh how I’ve missed you 😍🔥."

But not everyone was pleased by the news the actor shared about the show's January return. Some wrote:

  • "Why does your season start in January? It’s just not fair we have to wait so long and the season is so short 😢😢"

  • "Ugh I gotta wait"

  • "It’s too long to wait!!"

  • "Entirely too long between seasons!"

And their concern is understandable. While the original 9-1-1 series returned on September 19, there's still no sign of 9-1-1: Lone Star on the TV schedule. Fox has not yet released a date for the show's fourth season. Season 3 premiered on January 3, 2022, so we're crossing our fingers for an early January date. Until then, we'll pass the time by watching the first 3 seasons on Hulu.
