While 9-1-1: Lone Star fans are waiting eagerly for a season 5 return, it looks like they won't have to wait too long to see Rob Lowe back on TV.

The actor is busy gearing up for his brand-new Fox game show The Floor, which was announced by Deadline back in mid-September. After the network revealed that the series would premiere sometime in the 2023-2024 midseason, we now have an official release date. As the outlet reported on November 6, the first episode of The Floor will air for fans to see on January 2, 2024 at 9 p.m. ET. But that's not all Fox shared about Rob's venture: Along with the release date news, the network gave folks a first look at what's to come with a one-minute trailer.

"Enjoy this sneak peek at Rob Lowe’s brand new game show!" read the official caption of the YouTube clip. "Eighty-one contestants compete in trivia duels against one another securing spaces on a floor grid with each victory until [one] contestant claims the entire floor and takes home the grand prize of $250,000!"

When fans of The West Wing alum learned that he'll be back on their screens very soon, they immediately cheered in excitement in the comments.

"Can’t wait to watch!!! This show looks 🔥," one person wrote on YouTube. "This looks like a fun show! I’ll definitely be watching!" another agreed. "This show looks cool, can’t wait to check it out," a different follower noted.
