An $840K home topped August's most expensive sales in Vanderburgh County

Vanderburgh County's most expensive home sales in August 2023 included properties in the McCutchanville area and near Downtown.

In all, 358 homes were sold in August, an increase from the previous month's 342. The biggest sale came in at $845,000, a small drop from July's top seller, which brought in $850,000.

Here's a look at five of the most expensive home sales that month, according to the Vanderburgh County Assessor's Office.

Located west of Darmstadt, this four-bedroom, three-in-a-half bath sits on nearly three acres of land and offers a little bit of everything.

The custom home opens to the great room with 18-foot ceilings and a fireplace that leads to the spacious kitchen with an island, breakfast nook/serving bar, custom cabinetry, and countertops that lead to the Trex screened-in porch overlooking the backyard. This level also features the master suite with an ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet.
