50-year-old Mill City man arrested in connection to death of roommate

A Mill City man has been arrested and is being held in the Linn County Jail in connection to the death of his roommate, Sheriff Michelle Duncan said.

Duncan said deputies responded to a report at 10:58 p.m. Wednesday of a male shot in the 300 block of NW Alder Street in Mill City and found Brian Rendon, 52, deceased in his home.

A preliminary investigation determined Rendon's 50-year-old roommate shot him, sheriff's officials said.

Officers are continuing to investigate, and anyone with information is asked to contact detective Scott Tennant at 541-967-3950.
