Looking for a water park to visit this summer? Here are five that are convenient for Milwaukee residents.

Cool Waters Aquatic Center

This water park is in West Allis's Greenfield Park, 2028 S. 124th St. It has water slides, obstacle courses and a zero-entry water play area perfect for toddlers.

The water park opens for the season May 25. Opening weekend hours are 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. May 25-27. Hours for the rest of summer will be announced at a later time; check the website for updates.

Regular admission costs $8.50 for county residents ages 12-59 ($10.50 for non-county residents) and $7.50 for county residents ages 3-11 or 60 and over ($8.50 for non-county residents). Evening swim costs $7 for everyone.

Schultz Aquatic Park

This water park is in Milwaukee's Lincoln Park, 1301 W. Hampton Ave. It has a bucket dump and spray jets, spray posts and water troughs for kids to play in the water. There's even a lazy river.

The water park opens for the season June 8. Hours will be announced later; check the website for updates.

Regular admission costs $8.50 for county residents ages 12-59 ($10.50 for non-county residents) and $7.50 for county residents ages 3-11 or 60 and over ($8.50 for non-county residents). Evening swim costs $7 for everyone.

TOSA Pool at Hoyt Park

The Hoyt Park pool, 1800 N. Swan Blvd. in Wauwatosa, has a storied past. Popular for years as a neighborhood pool, it eventually qA closed as a result of Milwaukee County budget cuts. Neighbors didn't take that lightly and banded together to open a completely revitalized water park.

There are slides, a zero-depth-entrance pool and a water playground. Plus, there are concessions, movies on summer nights and even a beer garden.

Opening day is May 25. From opening day through June 7, the water park will have "early season hours" as they will be short-staffed until the school year is over. During early season hours, there is open swim from 1-6 p.m. on Saturdays and Memorial Day, and from 1-5 p.m. on Sundays. From May 28-31, there is open swim from 4-8 p.m. From June 3-6, open swim is from 1:30-4:30 p.m. in addition to evening open swim times from 6-8 p.m. on June 6. On June 7, open swim is from 1:30-6 p.m.

For the rest of the season, parent-tot swim for children 6 and younger and their caregivers will be held Monday through Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. Open swim on Mondays through Thursdays is 1:30-4:30 p.m., and on Fridays, open swim is 1:30 to 6 p.m. Open swim on Saturdays and holidays is from 1-6 p.m., and open swim on Sundays is from 1-5 p.m. Evening open swim is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m.

Daily admission is $12 for daytime open swim, $10 for evening open swim and $9 for parent/tot time. Children 2 and younger are free. Season passes, which include additional daily swim times, start at $100 for individuals and $295 for families.

Wiberg Aquatic Center

The Wiberg Aquatic Center at Wirth Park, 2585 N. Pilgrim Road, Brookfield, has diving boards, flume slides and water playground features for your kids to enjoy.

Opening day is June 1, but there are only evening hours the week of June 3-7 (from 6-8 p.m.). Normally, the center is open weekdays 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. for the zero-depth pool, 1-4:30 p.m. for the full facility, as well as 6-8 p.m. for the full facility on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; 1-8 p.m. on Saturdays and the Fourth of July; and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. on Sundays.

Daily fees for Brookfield residents are $6 for adults (18 and older), $5 for youth (ages 3-17) and seniors (55 and older) and free for kids 2 and younger. Daily fees for non-Brookfield residents are $12 for adults, $10 for youth and seniors and free for kids 2 and younger.

Morning zero-depth and evening hours fees for Brookfield residents are $4.75 for adults and $4.25 for youths and seniors. For non-Brookfield residents, the fees are $9.50 for adults and $8.50 for youth and seniors.

Hurricane Harbor

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor is adjacent to Great America, at 1 Great America Parkway in Gurnee, Illinois. Your admission fee includes a day packed with water fun, including the Buccaneer Bay water playground. There's also Tsunami Surge, the world's tallest water coaster; the Dive Bomber, a water ride where you fall through a trap door; a surf simulator; and plenty of water slides. The park opens for the season on May 25.
