5 injured in shooting in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood

A shooting in downtown San Francisco late Saturday left five people injured, police said.

The injuries are each believed to be non-life-threatening, according to the San Francisco Police Department.

The shooting occurred at around 9:45 p.m. local time in the Tenderloin neighborhood of the Northern California city, according to police.

Authorities said Saturday that firearms were recovered by officials. Police have not identified any of the victims, nor have they named a suspect.

The San Francisco Police Department Investigations Bureau is leading the investigation.

Officers with the department’s Tenderloin division were joined by medics and members of the San Francisco Fire Department at the scene of the shooting, which occurred at Eddy St. and Taylor St.
