If you want to get active in 2023, you may be looking to join a gym without breaking the bank.

New Year’s special: during January, new members get free personal training and pay only a $1 enrollment fee, which is usually $99. After that, the most popular plan costs $39 a month.

City of Myrtle Beach Recreation Centers

Locations: four centers around Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach residents get discounts to City of Myrtle Beach recreation centers. Escape the cold in an indoor walking track, or bring a friend for pickleball during open gym time. Check out their classes, like rowing and chair yoga.

Membership information: $30 a month for an adult Myrtle Beach resident, $55 for non-residents. Discounts for seniors and family members. Fitness classes are not included in the membership. A single class costs $4 for residents or $10 for non-residents.
