5 comic book stores to visit in Albuquerque on Free Comic Book day

May 3—May 4 is annual Free Comic Book Day, a day when comic book enthusiasts can celebrate their favorite titles.

Below is a compiled list of places in Albuquerque who will be celebrating Free Comic Day with free comics and events.

1. Los Griegos Branch Library

The Los Griegos Branch Library will be hosting a free comic book event inside the library. Attendees will be able to choose one free comic book, and staff will guide participants through a craft to create a souvenir. All ages are welcome to join, available while supplies last.

2. Astro Zombies

Astro Zombies will be hosting their annual free comic book day. On top of free comic books, the store will also have a range of sales and a sidewalk sale. Free comic books are limited to five per person.

3. Age of Comics

Age of Comics will be doing a variety of sales of comic books and figurines on Free Comic Day. There will also comic book artists doing signings at the store. Free comics will be available for guests with a limit of six to 10 free comic books depending on supplies.

Surreal Comics and Cards will be doing a 10% storewide discount on all purchases along with a free comic book. Attendees do not need to purchase anything to receive a free comic book.

5. Comic Warehouse

Comic Warehouse will be organizing an event inside the comic book store. The store will have sales, free comic books and enthusiasts coming in costume to celebrate. The store will have a limit of roughly five comic books per person, but has the potential to change throughout the day.
