Whether its backyard grilling, camping out or beach trips, there’s plenty of ways to spend Memorial Day weekend in South Carolina.

But why not try something a bit more organized or different this year?

In the Columbia area, you could attend a Memorial Day ceremony, participate in an organized run, enjoy water slides or do more than one event if you choose.

Below are five Columbia-area events for the Memorial Day weekend.

Join law enforcement in Lexington County along with Sorinex, Savage Craft Ale Works and Shellback Tactical in a murph workout that will consist of a 1-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 air squats and another mile run, all while wearing a weighted vest.
