At 46, Shakira's 🔥 Legs Are Next-Level Powerful As She Wakeboards

It’s no secret that Shakira is seriously talented. The 46-year-old songstress can sing, dance, and write books—among many, many other things. Well, now you can add wakeboarding to her skills list.

Shakira just casually dropped video of herself on Instagram powering over waves while wakeboarding behind a boat. There’s Shakira showing off her strong legs—and amazing balance—as she carves and cuts, sharing a huge smile after doing a tough move.

“On mermaid watch 👀🧜♀️,” she joked in the caption. Cue people completely bugging out. “Is there anything you CANT do?!” one person wrote in the comments. “That BALANCE and ease…. So graceful!! 💪🏻👏🏻” said celebrity trainer Anna Kaiser.

This isn’t her first time wakeboarding, by the way. Shakira also shared video of herself cruising over the waves like it’s nothing back in May.

But how exactly did she get so strong? For starters, she’s a super energetic performer. Case in point:

Shakira also works with her trainer Anna Kaiser for up to six days a week doing dance cardio. "Shakira is really focused on consistency with her workouts—the strength, the cardio, the stamina, the power, the flexibility, everything," Kaiser previously told Vogue. Together, they’ll do 90-minute dance intervals for cardio and strength.

She also adjusts her workouts based on her performances. In the lead-up to her 2020 Super Bowl performance with J.Lo, Shakira focused on a lot of strength training. “Yesterday she had a really long dance rehearsal in the afternoon, so we just focused on an hour of pure strength in the morning,” Kaiser told E! News. For Shakira, strength training can include things like HIIT circuits and swimming.

Shakira is focused during those workouts—she pointed out in one Instagram video that Kaiser makes her turn off her phone when she exercises.

Foodwise, Kaiser told E! News that “balance is really important” with what Shakira eats. Breakfast includes things like eggs or avocado with olive oil and tomato, along with a fruit smoothie with plant protein and greens. Lunch may be fish and fresh veggies or a salad, while dinner is usually fish and veggies.
