37-year-old man found shot dead in Sherbondy Hill apartment complex Monday night

A 37-year-old man was found dead Monday night at a Sherbondy Hill apartment complex, Gary Guenther from the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office said in a release.

Akron police responded to the apartment complex in the 1200 block of Everton Drive at about 10 p.m. after a 911 call reported a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found the victim on the eighth floor of the apartment in the hallway with a gunshot wound to the head, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:31 p.m., Guenther said in the release.

Detectives believe there was an argument between the victim and the suspect before the shooting. Police are working to determine what exactly led to the shooting as well as identify and find a person of interest.
