30 taco vendors set for Northwest Taco Fest at Riverfront Park in Salem: What to know

Northwest Taco Fest has officially announced its taco vendor and live performance lineup. The family-friendly event will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Riverfront Park on Saturday.

Live performances will be offered throughout the day and will each last an hour. The lineup includes Son De Cuba, Pedro World Citizen, Ty Curtis featuring Taylor Newville, Lapa, Tango Alpha Tango and the Jacob Westfall Band.

All ages entertainment includes a live mural painting by local artist Jonezy, a dog costume contest and a mobile wreck room. Entry into the dog costume contest is $5 and all proceeds will go toward the Oregon Humane Society. Participants can sign up day of, and the winner will receive a gift basket from Salem Pet Supply, a crown and a trophy.

Children's entertainment includes face painting, a bounce house, lawn games, craft station and an entertainment show.

The title sponsor of the event is Mega Foods. The event's official hot sauce is Heat You Can Handle and the official tequila is Hornitos.

The tequila sponsor will have a Hornitos Cantina area offering cocktails. Other alcoholic beverages available at the event include a selection of margaritas, local craft beers and ciders.

Over 50 local vendors will also be at the event, offering a variety of goods from jewelry, plushies, clothing, candles, snacks and more.

How to get tickets for Northwest Taco Fest

Tickets are available on the event's website. General admission is $15 and veterans and seniors (age 65 and up) are $12. Children under 10 have free entry with a paying adult. Taco and drink package deal tickets are also available, at $50 for adults and $47 for veterans and seniors. These include six tacos (for tacos priced at $3 or less) and two drink tickets (for any beer, margarita, cider or soft drink).

For folks interested in volunteering at the event, an application is open on the event's website for morning, afternoon or all day shifts.
