Spencer Rattler is too talented to be sitting on the bench. The general consensus is it’s only a matter of time before he enters the transfer portal.

Rattler lost his starting gig to Caleb Williams earlier this month and it doesn’t look like he’s going to get it back. A player of Rattler’s caliber doesn’t belong on the bench. After all, he came into the season as one of the Heisman favorites and a projected top-five NFL Draft pick.

In the very-likely scenario Rattler transfers, where will he end up? Some speculate he’ll head back to his home state of Arizona and play for the Sun Devils. Others think he’ll go to a more marquee conference in the SEC.

Connor O’Gara of Saturday Down South thinks three SEC programs make the most sense for Rattler: Ole Miss, Tennessee and Georgia.

“Rattler’s downfall at Oklahoma was reading drop-8 coverage. What did Corral need to figure out this offseason? How to read drop-8 coverage,” O’Gara wrote on Saturday Down South. “Needless to say, he’s a master of it now. They’re both extremely similar from a physical standpoint, as well, though I’d argue Corral’s toughness as a runner is at a different level.

“Whatever the case, the blueprint would be there for Rattler. Few situations would be more favorable for him to step into than the one in Oxford … as long as Kiffin doesn’t bolt for LSU.”

Let’s be honest: Spencer Rattler and Lane Kiffin would be the perfect combo. Rattler to Ole Miss makes too much sense.

Georgia, meanwhile, wouldn’t have much patience with Rattler were he to perform poorly. And Rattler could probably do better than Tennessee.

Where do you think Rattler will end up if he decides to transfer?
