Trade rumors involving Ben Simmons continue to heat up this week. At this point, it seems like the All-Star guard’s days in Philadelphia are numbered.

Simmons struggled mightily during the playoffs this past season, averaging 11.9 points per game and making just 34.2 percent of his free throws. Despite his flaws on the offensive side of the floor, the former No. 1 pick still has a pretty strong market. There are already three teams emerging as potential frontrunners for his services.

According to Sam Amick of The Athletic, the Miami Heat, Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards are the top potential landing spots for Simmons.

As for Philadelphia’s asking price, Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer is reporting that the front office asked for four first-round draft picks, three pick swaps and a young player when discussing a Simmons trade with the San Antonio Spurs.

It’s unknown if the Sixers are willing to trade Simmons within the Eastern Conference. After all, he could potentially turn a team like the Heat or Raptors into contenders.

During the 2020-21 regular season, Simmons averaged 14.3 points, 7.2 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game. The main issue with Simmons is that he hasn’t developed a jump shot.

Any team interested in acquiring Simmons would have to be comfortable taking on his contract. He has four years and $147 million remaining on his deal with the Sixers.
