3 arrested in 'significant' Georgetown drug bust, Williamson County officials say

The Williamson County sheriff's office has arrested three people during a drug bust in Georgetown that resulted in the seizure of illegal substances and guns, according to a news release on Tuesday.

Patrick Jones, 28, of Georgetown was charged with manufacturing and delivery of fentanyl and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a first-degree felony punishable by up to 99 years in prison. He was also charged with felon in possession of a firearm, a third-degree felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

Shirley Erickson, 37, of Georgetown, was charged with manufacture and delivery of fentanyl and tetrahydrocannabinol, a first-degree felony punishable by up to 99 years in prison.

Izaiah Miller, 18, of Georgetown was charged with possession of a controlled substance, a second-degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

The incident happened on Thursday when the organized crime unit of the sheriff's office, in collaboration with SWAT and canine units, carried out a search warrant on Pinnacle Drive in Georgetown, the release said. Jones, Erickson and Miller were arrested at the scene, according to the release.

"During the operation, a significant amount of suspected illicit substances, weapons, and paraphernalia associated with drug trafficking were seized," it said.

The items seized include 4.5 pounds of suspected marijuana, 3.7 grams of suspected cocaine, 22.4 grams of suspected methamphetamine and 140.7 grams of THC, according to the release. Authorities also seized 29.1 grams of suspected fentanyl, which is equivalent to approximately 206 pills, approximately $13,000 in cash, two handguns with magazines and ammunition, drug paraphernalia and cell phones, the release said.

"We will continue to aggressively pursue individuals involved in drug trafficking and related criminal activities," Sgt. Heather Vargas said in the release. "We will do everything we can to ensure justice is served in our communities, and we will spare no effort in achieving that goal."
