29 JCPS magnet schools and programs will lose busing. Here's the list

Enrollment shifts are expected throughout Jefferson County Public Schools next year as the district ends bus transportation for students in dozens of magnet schools and programs.

There are about 15,000 students who will lose transportation after the school board voted to end busing for most magnet students, which could lead to a drop in enrollment at 29 schools if students aren't able to find their own way to and from campus. The change will also impact some students who are zoned for an Academies of Louisville program. They, too, will no longer have access to district transportation.
