The search continues for a woman who went missing in Texas after taking her dog out for a walk nearly two weeks ago.

Authorities are looking for 27-year-old Christina Johnson, who was last seen leaving her residence near the 12500 block of Newbrook Drive in Houston on March 6, according to Texas EquuSearch.

The non-profit search organization said Christina left her residence “to take her dog for a walk,” but never returned.

The mixed-breed canine, whose name is Max, was found on Friday more than seven miles from Christina’s home, according to Texas EquuSearch.

"She always has Max with her,” said Emmanuel Johnson, Christina’s father, according to CBS affiliate KHOU. “The fact we find Max but not her is very alarming.”

Emmanuel claimed his daughter left home on March 6 without her cellphone, according to NBC affiliate KPRC-TV. He also said his daughter would walk her dog to one of two locations daily, and work on her computer from there.

“She usually comes home before the evening,” he said.

Emmanuel officially reported his daughter missing on March 9, KPRC-TV reported.

Christina’s dog was found Friday in the Alief area, according to KHOU. Emmanuel told KPRC-TV that the dog seemed “scared” after being found.

“He’s in a rough condition right now,” the father said. “He’s not acting normal.”

Christina was last seen “carrying a gray backpack” and wearing a black hoodie, blue jean shorts, pink socks, and Crocs of an unknown color, according to Texas EquuSearch.
