The 25 Best Dressed Celebrities at the 2023 Tony Awards
The 2023 Tony Awards went off without a hitch last night, thanks to the impressive unscripted hosting capabilities of Ariana DeBose. "I'm live and unscripted!" she proclaimed at the start of the show, after an impressive choreographed dance through the halls of the United Palace theater in Washington Heights, Manhattan. "So to anyone who may have thought that last year was a bit unhinged, to them, I say, darlings, buckle up," she joked.
The unscripted show made more time for performances, acceptance speeches by a varied group of winners, and a rare awards show that ended on time. The big wins of the night went to Kimberly Akimbo (Best Musical), Leopoldstadt (Best Play), Parade (Best Musical Revival), and Topdog/Underdog (Best Play Revival). In addition, J. Harrison Ghee and Alex Newell made history as the first openly nonbinary performers to win a Tony Award, and Killing Eve's Jodie Comer took home the Best Leading Actress in a Play trophy in a tight competition against Jessica Chastain, Audra McDonald, and Jessica Hecht.
Just as much as Broadway's best shows were on display, so too was the fashion worn by nominees, presenters, and the attendees. Here, see the 25 best dressed celebrities at the 2023 Tony Awards:
