24-year-old Knoxville man dies in shooting as police continue search for suspect

Zackery Schwaller, 24, of Knoxville, died in an April 30 shooting in the 1800 block of Prospect Place in the Morningside neighborhood, the Knoxville Police Department said in a news release.

No suspects had been arrested as of April 2.

Around 11:40 p.m. April 30, officers responded to a shooting and found Schwaller, who was shot and lying on the ground. He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

Anyone with information is urged to contact East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers anonymously at 865-215-7165. Tipsters can be eligible to receive a reward.
