21-year-old killed in motorcycle crash late Monday on I-77 in Richfield

Authorities from the Richfield Police Department and the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office are investigating a highway accident that resulted in the death of a 21-year-old male Monday night.

At approximately 11:25 p.m., the victim was operating a 2023 Kawasaki motorcycle going southbound on I-77 in Richfield when he was involved in a motor vehicle crash.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:44 pm.

Once positive identification is made and the autopsy is completed, an update will be provided, medical examiner Gary Guenther said in a release.
