2025 NFL mock draft: Early looks at what the Cleveland Browns could do

Finally, the Cleveland Browns will have a first-round pick in the draft. After three years of no first-round picks because of the Deshaun Watson trade, the Browns will be on the clock on Day 1 of the 2025 NFL draft.

An early look at way-too-early mock drafts shows no consensus for what the Browns could do next year. Some lean toward an offensive tackle in case starting left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. isn't re-signed. Wide receiver is another possibility as Amari Cooper goes into the final year of his deal with the Browns.

OT Earnest Greene III, Georgia

Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz, USA TODAY: "The Bulldogs could see one of their offensive tackles called on Day 1 for the third consecutive year with Greene, who holds down the left side for Georgia. The Browns might soon need to reshuffle their protection plan for Deshaun Watson with left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. entering the final year of his deal."

2024 NFL draft: What was learned about the Browns through draft weekend | Analysis

WR Isaiah Bond, Alabama

Curt Popejoy, Draft Wire: No explanation for this pick was provided. Bond, an upcoming junior, is 5-foot-11 and 182 pounds. Last season he had 48 receptions for 668 yards and four touchdowns.

DT Tyleik Williams, Ohio State

Ryan Wilson, CBS Sports: "Williams has some twitch in his giddy-up. He plays with heavy hands, and his low center of gravity allows him to win the leverage battle early in the rep against interior offensive linemen. He plays with an incredibly active motor, too."

2024 NFL draft grades: How did the Cleveland Browns do this year?

OLB Abdul Carter, Penn State

Ralph D. Russo, Associated Press: "He’s not quite Micah Parsons, but Carter will draw some comparisons to the former Nittany Lion and current Cowboys linebacker."

WR Tetairoa McMillan, Arizona

Dane Belbeck, The Score: "A massive target at 6-foot-5, McMillan was virtually unstoppable in 2023 with 90 catches for 1,402 yards and 10 touchdowns. He thrives down the field and uses precise route-running to beat people in short-yardage situations."

Edge Patrick Payton, Florida State

Jake Rill, Bleacher Report: No explanation for this pick was given. In three years and 28 games played, Payton has 12 sacks, 20.5 tackles for loss, 13 passes defended, three forced fumbles and 75 total tackles. Payton is 6-foot-5, 254 pounds.

OT Jonah Savaiinaea, Arizona

Ian Cummings, Pro Football Network: "Jedrick Wills’ contract is up in 2025, and Jack Conklin’s long-term future is cloudy in Cleveland as well. The Browns have Dawand Jones, who could end up being the future starter at right tackle. But they’ll have to re-invest at tackle eventually."
