  • Infiniti has revealed teasers of the next-generation QX80 SUV.

  • The images show a similar design to the QX Monograph concept shown last fall.

  • The 2025 QX80 will be unveiled on March 20 ahead of an in-person debut at the New York auto show.

UPDATE 3/4/24: Infiniti confirmed that the new 2025 QX80 will be ditch the old 5.6-liter V-8 engine in favor of a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6. The new powertrain produces 450 horsepower and 515 pound-feet of torque, both significant increases over the V-8. It will use a nine-speed automatic transmission and promises quicker acceleration and better fuel economy. Infiniti also said that the QX80 would be available with an air suspension.

A new generation of the full-size Infiniti QX80 is on the way. First previewed last fall at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance by the QX Monograph concept, Infiniti has revealed a handful of teaser images for the latest version of its large-and-in-charge luxury SUV. The 2025 Infiniti QX80 is set to be revealed in full on March 20.

The new QX80 sports what Infiniti calls its "Artistry in Motion" design language, and it looks to carry over much of the design elements from last year's concept. The teasers show off the same squinty LED daytime running lights—mean to emulate "digital piano keys"— and the full-width taillight that sports a similar look. We also catch a glimpse of retractable door handles, a "4WD" badge on the rear hatch, and an "Autograph" badge—typically reserved for an Infiniti model's most expensive trim level—along the side window trim.

Following the 2025 QX80's reveal on March 20, the luxury SUV will make its public debut at the New York auto show. The current QX80 is powered by a 400-horsepower 5.6-liter V-8 paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission, but rumors suggest this engine will bow out for the next-generation SUV. We think the new model will be powered by a smaller twin-turbocharged V-6 engine. Look for more details to trickle out ahead of the full reveal next month.
