2025 Bass Pro Tournament of Champions teams announced. Here are the best players so far.

The return of Link Academy highlights the eight-team field that makes up the 2025 Bass Pro Tournament of Champions, Springfield Public Schools announced Thursday morning.

The annual January high school basketball tournament at Great Southern Bank Arena will also include Central and Parkview as the two local programs, marking the second straight year two SPS programs will represent the area.

Christ the King (New York) and Milton (Georgia) will also return to Springfield in addition to newcomers Oak Ridge (Florida), Millennium (Arizona) and Bullis School (Maryland) with top-tier high school basketball recruits on their rosters.

Central is in the tournament for the second straight year after finishing third in Class 6 this past season. It is set to return all but one senior after its deepest postseason run since 1945. The tournament will mark their first time in the field in consecutive years since 1993 and 1994.

Parkview is making its first appearance since 2022. The Vikings were a Class 5 quarterfinalist and will return key players including Elias Govan, Dassiah Green and Carlitos Sanchez.

Link Academy, a Branson-based high school power that plays a national schedule, will play in its second Tournament of Champions in its fourth year of existence. The Lions won the tournament, in addition to a national championship, in 2023. They fell in the Chipotle Nationals semifinals this past season.

As has been the case in recent years, there is a possibility teams will be replaced before the tournament begins. SPS includes clauses in its contracts with other schools that if certain players leave their programs, the school district and tournament host can opt out of the deal.
