These are 2024’s richest Florida residents and how much they made. Here’s a list

In 2024, not only are there more billionaires in the world, they are also richer.

Forbes has released its annual list of the world's billionaires, with some recognizable names and faces from across Florida.

According the outlet, there are now more billionaires than ever: 2,781 in all, 141 more than last year and 26 more than the record set in 2021. They also note these individuals are richer than ever, worth $14.2 trillion in aggregate, up by $2 trillion from 2023 and $1.1 trillion above the previous record, also set in 2021.

To calculate each individual's wealth, Forbes used stock prices and exchange rates from March 8 of this year.

Who is the top billionaire in the world?

At the top of this year's list is 75-year-old Bernard Arnault, the head of luxury goods giant LVMH, and his family, from France, with a value of $233 billion.

As for one of Florida's most famous billionaires, Donald Trump ranked 1,438 on Forbes' list with a net worth of $2.2 billion.
