Who is in 2024 Masters field? Tiger Woods, LIV golfers and more
The 2024 Masters field has what golf fans want: the world’s best players in one tournament.
The PGA Tour vs. LIV Golf spat provides few opportunities to see that. When LIV formed in 2021, it began a new reality where the world’s best golfers play against each other only in the annual four majors: The Masters, the U.S. Open, the Open Championship and the PGA Championship.
Augusta National is a haven from golf’s current state. The Masters field and odds include names that people are used to seeing together: From Scottie Scheffler to Phil Mickelson.
People on either side of the PGA Tour vs. LIV Golf debate can root against each other in the majors, but the Masters provides even more than that. It’s a chance to see Tiger Woods and one more opportunity to hear the voice of longtime CBS broadcaster Verne Lundquist, who will call the tournament for the final time.

Best LIV golfers in Masters field
There are 13 LIV golfers in the 2024 Masters field. Here are five who could win the green jacket at Augusta National.
Dustin Johnson: Johnson knows his way around Augusta National. He set a Masters record with 20-under total en route to a five-shot victory in 2020. He won at LIV Golf’s Las Vegas Invitational earlier this season and placed fifth at Mayakoba.
Brooks Koepka: He’s won five majors and nearly won last year’s Masters, leading or co-leading for three rounds before finishing tied for second behind Jon Rahm. Koepka is vanilla in regular events but a machine in majors.

Phil Mickelson: He’s in the twilight of his career at 53 years old, and he isn’t playing that well on the LIV circuit right now. But Mickelson loves Augusta National. He’s won there three times (2004, 2006, 2010) and his final-round 65 last year tied him for the runner-up; it was the lowest round and best finish in tournament history by a player aged 50 or older.
Joaquin Niemann: Niemann received a special invite from the Masters simply because he is on a tear. He’s won three tournaments in six starts this season and has three other top-five finishes.
Jon Rahm: The 2023 Masters champion has four other top 10 finishes at Augusta National and is No. 3 in the Official World Golf Ranking. He hasn’t won since joining LIV, but has finished in the top 10 in four of five starts with three top 5s.
Is Tiger Woods in Masters field?
Yes, Woods will play in the 2024 Masters. He’s paired with Jason Day and Max Homa in Thursday’s opening round.

He’s walked 72 holes in an official tournament just twice in two years, at the 2023 Genesis Invitational and last fall's Hero World Challenge. He withdrew from the 2023 Masters in the third round due to pain in his surgically fused ankle.
