2024 Levitt at the Falls summer concert lineup includes Terrance Simien, The War and Treaty
The Levitt at the Falls is in a “summer state of mind” with 2024’s 50 free concert lineup every weekend beginning May 31.
The state-of-the-art outdoor venue will start the music with Terrance Simien & the Zydeco Experience, a Grammy Award-winning, eighth-generation Louisiana Creole Zydeco musician, incorporating African and Caribbean rhythms of rock, funk, R&B rap and hip hop.The sun will set on this concert series Sept. 14 with Terrance Simien’s daughter, Marcella Simien, performing “classic Memphis soul with the freewheeling swagger of New Orleans funk."
Organizers made the announcement about the series Thursday during a press conference.
Local, regional, national and international acts of every genre will be represented, including two new genres, Latin and R&B Soul, along with Americana, Blues, Country, Hip-Hop, Indie, Rock, World and Family musical styles.

The Levitt Shell is located in the heart of Sioux Falls at 504 North Phillips Avenue at Falls Park West. There is open seating on the large lawn facing the stage, which is first come, first serve. You are welcome to bring a blanket or lawn chairs. Lawn chairs are also available to rent.

The lawn will open at 6:30 p.m. each night with the local opener performing at 7 p.m. before the headliners take stage at 7:30 p.m.
Concerts for kids and families will be held at 10:30 a.m. on five Saturday mornings throughout the summer. Levitt Jam Camp, in partnership with Augustanta University School of Music, will also provide fun experiences for kids wanting to learn more about Latin music, Hip-Hop and songwriting.

The Levitt at the Falls welcomes audience members of all ages, with concerts running every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night through Aug. 31 and continuing every Friday and Saturday night through Sept. 14. Each concert will be livestreamed online and projected on a large video board onsite in partnership with South Dakota Public Broadcasting.
Other music and culture festival collaborations at the Levitt this summer include many other fun events for the whole family.
On June 8, the annual Festival of Cultures will be hosted at the Levitt in a joint effort with the LSS Multi-Culture Center and Center for the Prevention of Child Maltreatment.
The annual Kunama Cultural Festival will also take place this year June 20-23 at the Levitt. The festival will feature soccer, dancing, a fashion show and more.
To celebrate Independence Day, KORY and the FIREFLIES will return to the Levitt stage on July 4 for a patriotic rock & roll celebration.
Returning this year on July 26-27 is the Mitakuye Owas’iƞ * All My Relatives * Mitákuye Oyás’ Festival a celebration of Native American music, art and culture. Sponsored by the SDSU Wokini Initiative, performances will include pop and rock artist Kelly Jackson, hip-hop artist Supaman and a family show from Starr Chief Eagle.
Another major (and yes, free!) musical event will include a performance on Aug. 9 by The War and Treaty, featuring a mix of blues, gospel, soul, bluegrass and country musical stylings.
