2023 Girls’ Sweet 16: View the bracket for Kentucky’s high school basketball state tourney

By the time this weekend is over, we will know all 16 teams headed for the girls’ high school basketball state tournament to be held at Rupp Arena in Lexington from March 8-11.

After some late schedule reshuffling because of inclement weather, five regional championship games were decided Saturday with the remaining 11 set for Sunday.

Those 16 champions will fill a winner-take-all, single-elimination bracket to decide the state champion.

Track the bracket here as schools secure Sweet 16 berths throughout this weekend.

Four first-round games are set for Wednesday followed by another four Thursday. The quarterfinals are Friday, March 10. The semifinals and championship game will take place Saturday, March 11.

Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville has won the tournament each of the past two years.

Region champions to qualify for the field Saturday were: McCracken County (1st Region), Mercy (6th Region), Sacred Heart (7th Region), Cooper (9th Region) and Frederick Douglass (11th Region).

Thursday’s first-round games
