There comes a time in every deep-skinned girl’s life when she goes to the makeup counter and can’t find her shade in bronzer. I was that girl for some time and I began to think bronzer wasn’t for people like me. That’s no longer the case. Thankfully, the Makeup Revolution Glow Splendour Bronzer is finally giving chocolate girls the summer glow they’ve been longing for in the beauty market.

Since the Fenty Beauty effect, a number of brands have created or extended their foundation shade ranges. However, Black YouTubers of deeper complexions like AmandaBB and Too Much Mouth have dedicated videos to bronzers for darker skin, or rather, the lack thereof.

“I want to know what’s not clicking with brands, especially since they’re all boasting how they’re putting out 40, 50, 60 foundation shades and then you get to their other complexion categories and there’s nothing to choose from for deeper complexions,” Too Much Mouth said in a video in December 2019 regarding deeper bronzer shades.

On May 6, 2020, Revolution Beauty announced the launch of its Revolution Glow collection and among the collection are five shades of Makeup Revolution Glow Splendour Bronzer. All of them are Black and brown girl-friendly, and not to mention, they’re only $11-$12 (depending on the retailer).

The Glow Splendour Bronzers are offered in large pans in six shades: deep dark, deep, dark, medium dark, medium and light. Plus, every single shade smells like coconut and pineapple.

Although the collection is fairly new, almost all of the bronzers have sold out already at Ulta. Thankfully, the line of brown skin-friendly bronzers is also sold at BeautyBay and the Revolution Beauty website for you to glow up this summer. Shop the deeper shades of bronzer below!
