Celebs partner with Natty Light to give advice to Class of 2020

This year’s commencement celebration was BYOB.

As colleges across the country have scrambled to come up with online alternatives to a traditional graduation ceremony for the Class of 2020, Natty Light — a companion to college students everywhere — stepped in to give a star-studded livestream commencement on May 14.

The stream was an hour long and featured speeches by Adam Devine, Jane Lynch and Mark Cuban, as well as a performance by Machine Gun Kelly.

True to traditional ceremonies, each of the speakers gave advice to the graduating class and shared their stories of struggling to get to where they are today. Each speech is available to watch in full on YouTube.

“I understand that there’s crazy pressure to figure things out, to have a game plan and to know what you’re going to do next, but I’m here to tell you, you just don’t have to man,” Devine said.

“You’re looking at a man that once got up at 3:30 every morning to drive 87 miles one way to work, every day. One way. I earned $15,000 a year eating tuna fish and Kool-Aid,” ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith told the Class of 2020. “Sacrifices come, but they’re for a reason.”

“Everything is upside down; this is a reset!” explained Cuban. “You get to invent America 2.0, Class of 2020.”

The full commencement can still be viewed on Twitter and Facebook.
