Timothée Chalamet baffles Instagram users with unexplained at-home photo: ‘What does this mean?’

Timothée Chalamet has the internet equal parts confused and enthralled, thanks to his latest Instagram post.

The 24-year-old actor, who notoriously shares very few photos of himself on social media, returned to his account on May 14. with an unexplained, uncaptioned image.

Chalamet’s post, which earned 1.7 million likes in just one day, was a blurry, close-up photo of his pantry. Inside, the “Little Women” star’s pantry seems to be a box of Triscuits, a package of Kraft Easy Mac, a sideways bottle of honey and several cans of soup.

The image’s simplicity — and the somewhat odd composition of Chalamet’s pantry — seemed to baffle and fascinate his fans. Several commenters questioned whether there was a hidden message in the post.

“What does this mean?” one user asked.

“I wanna know what you’re thinking,” another pleaded.

“I’m only liking this photo because you posted it. I have no idea whats going on,” another admitted.

Instagram users also pointed out several strange details in the photo, such as the fact that Chalamet keeps his honey on its side, as opposed to right side up. Additionally, the fact that the actor hadn’t posted an image of himself in nearly two months left many fans asking why the camera wasn’t turned the other way.

“Don’t be shy post more!” one commenter asked.

“Nice photo. Make sure to flip the camera around to your face next time! And keep it that way!” another joked.

Still, several responses were nothing but positive. The photo further proved that Chalamet, who boasts one of the largest and most vocal hives of stans (die-hard fans obsessed with a particular celebrity), can draw social media love for nearly anything.

“This picture is a masterpiece thank you for sharing your beautiful pantry,” one user wrote.

“U could literally post anything and everyone would like it. Ur a star,” another user summarized.
